We are seeking a driven Analytics Engineer to leverage data for informed business decisions and optimization of operations. This role is a key contributor in supporting Michelin's commitment to people, profit, and the planet through data-driven insights. This position will be part of an accelerated development program designed to rapidly gain experience and grow quickly within the organization. We expect this new passionate leader to develop expertise, advance into higher-level leadership roles, and contribute significantly to our global initiatives.
Location: This position is based in Greenville, SC – close to beaches, mountains, and major cities like Atlanta and Charlotte. As you progress forward in your career, you will need to be internationally mobile for broadening assignments. We intend on developing this person into a truly international leader in the IS/IT domain as they move forward in their career timeline.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Contribute to all phases of data work, from mining and model building to detailed analysis for business use
- Write elegant, efficient code collaboratively and engage in thorough reviews
- Ensure robust data governance and quality measures are consistently applied throughout the entire data lifecycle, fostering trust and confidence among business users.
- Design, develop, and maintain thoughtfully crafted data models to democratize data, empowering business users to generate self-service reports and analytics independently
- Analyze structured datasets and transform unstructured datasets to uncover meaningful patterns and insights.
- Collaborate with Data and Engineering teams to improve data accessibility and actively contribute to the product roadmap
- Communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus, MBA is a plus plus!
- Strong programming skills and knowledge of industry best practices in software development
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools and techniques.
- Experience with data modeling and analytics tools.
- Championing new technologies and willingness to rethink and challenge the way we work.
- Resilience and the capacity to influence others positively.
- Strong data-driven storytelling skills that enable you to craft compelling narratives that resonate internal stakeholders and drive the business to make critical decisions.
- Exhibits curiosity with a growth mindset to discover and solve strategic, complicated questions.
