Mission
Functionally attached to the to the Group's Customs and ESG Corporate team, the Customs & Digital Process Engineering Lead is responsible for the definition and deployment of the processes and digital strategy for customs compliance;
He/she also leads projects for the integration of environmental requirements (CBAM, EUDR, etc.) and contributes to the various projects of the Group Transformation while ensuring regulatory compliance and customs operational efficiency.
This position is part of an international cross-functional team in close collaboration with the Group's legal, supply chain, finance, IT and purchasing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management of Customs, digital, environmental and flow transformation
Manage and coordinate all projects related to customs such as digital, environmental and transformation Group projects
Ensure the consistency and compliance of projects with European and international customs and environmental regulations.
Work in close collaboration with internal functions (legal, finance, supply chain, IT, purchasing, etc.).
Definition and deployment of the Customs digital strategy:
Define and deploy the Group's digital customs strategy.
Design, implement and maintain digital tools for managing customs flows.
Identify areas for improvement (reporting, automation, compliance) and establish a multi-year roadmap.
Collaborate with the ECO - Export Control Process teams.
Management and monitoring of budgets associated with the various projects and desired developments
Regulatory monitoring and anticipation of digital developments:
Ensure the follow-up of international regulatory changes made by country customs officials (Customs, CBAM, EUDR, etc.).
Anticipate the impacts on internal processes and propose action plans.
Contribute to the change management within the global customs network.
Continuous improvement:
Identify and deploy solutions to make data quality more reliable and automate processes.
Guarantee compliance and operational performance.
Back Office Supervision EUR:
Lead and supervise digital Customs teams, import/export managers, in collaboration with the local Export control teams, especially for the new entities of the Group.
Propose improvements to organizations on a global scale regarding standardization, empowerment of teams, enhancement of skills
Support, assistance and organization for the digital process for the global customs network inside the Group
Accompany the global network (and particularly Europe) in the application of controls, the analysis of alerts and the management of flows.
Standardization of customs organization and processes
Governance and animation
participation in Global Trade Customs meetings
animation of compliance governance and collaboration with the various functions of the Group (legal, finance, supply chain, purchasing, IT, etc.)
Mandatory skills
Bachelor’s Degree (International Trade, Law, Economics, Customs, Logistics or equivalent).
Knowledge of the international regulatory framework in terms of Customs, foreign trade control, environmental regulations (CBAM, EUDR, etc.) and management of complex logistics flows.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience, ideally in customs, consulting, law in multinational companies.
Fluent in English (French would be a plus).
Proven experience in contributing to digital initiatives
Recommended skills
Strong Project Management skills to coordinate cross-functional and international projects (digital, environmental and flow transformation).
Leadership skills, ability to coordinate and work in a multidisciplinary and international environment (experience in team management would be a plus).
Communication skills, ability to popularize and implement compliance arbitrations.
Ability to drive change.
Ability to adapt to a complex and changing environment.
