• Ensures compliance with local laws and regulations.

• Implements Group directives, referentials and compliance programs.

• Provides timely and responsive legal advice or other legal related support to internal partners.

• Manages external legal counsel and other consultants to ensure quality of advice and assists in setting and managing the budget for external legal resources.

• Manages legal projects

• Delivers legal training to internal partners where necessary.

• Implements Michelin Legal initiatives [ex: EBF, CLM, CCR…]

• When necessary, be a key player in the integration projects for new acquisitions 

• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a broad range of business contracts, with end‑to‑end ownership of the legal validation of Purchase Contracts, while also managing other commercial agreements.

• Ensures all agreements and related documentation complies with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, internal company policies, and global guidelines.

• Drafts, reviews, and updates internal governance documents, including policies, procedures/SOPs, templates, playbooks, and standard terms, to ensure legal accuracy and operational clarity.

• Provides clear legal guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, risk areas, and effective risk‑mitigation strategies.

• Conducts comprehensive legal research across diverse subject areas to support business initiatives and strategic projects.

• Stays updated on applicable laws, regulations, judicial developments, and industry best practices.

• Delivers well‑reasoned legal opinions, interpretations, and advisory support on legal matters and issues, including employment, sales and marketing, and manufacturing, to enable compliance and mitigate legal risks.

• Advises business teams on consumer complaints and other matters at the pre‑litigation stage.

• Dispute resolution: Provides legal support to various disputes and manage litigations across India, including drafting and vetting legal notices/replies, and overseeing court cases, arbitrations, and related proceedings.

• Coordinates effectively with external counsels and other consultants for litigation and regulatory matters.

• Provides strategic advice to minimize legal exposure and support effective dispute resolution.
